The FREE friendly hospital transport service for cancer patients registered at Meadowbank Health Centre
Coordinators
Our coordinators are all volunteers. Their work involves regular contact with doctors’ surgeries, collecting names and phone numbers of anyone who wants to use the Meadowbank Car 4U service. They arrange drivers for each journey, and contact patients with their driver’s details. Most of our coordinators work from their own homes, on a flexible rota of 2 weeks out of every 10. They’re provided with all the equipment they need and their expenses are fully reimbursed.
This work typically takes about one hour per day, although if things are busy it can take up to 2 hours.

Anne retired from Stirling Council some years ago. She enjoys driving, spending time with her family, good food and wine!

Linda is a fulltime Mum and Granny. She used to work in the Post Office in Polmont for many years

Kathy taught in primary, secondary and special schools before she retired. She now volunteers with a range of charities and enjoys spending time with her family, walking and lunches out with friends.

I joined Car4U in 2016 soon after retiring from a lifetime working in oil & gas industry. When not chauffeuring patients to hospital, I’m often chasing 3 big kids and 5 grandchildren.
